Sounds like a very cool event, huh? Yes indeed it was.  On Thursday, October 14th BTE's Kevin Griffin joined together with Fred LeBlanc of Cowboy Mouth on the Cajun Queen River Boat for a night of New Orleans music attendees will not soon forget.

Kevin and Fred played acoustic guitars as they alternated between a number of tunes from their respective musical catalogues and several covers.

In keeping with the night's theme, BTE fans were treated to several classic tunes with New Orleans-based content including "King of New Orleans" and "WWOZ."  Other tunes included "Rosealia," "R3wind," "This Time of Year" and a classic in the making "American Dream" which is likely to appear on the next Better than Ezra release scheduled for early next year.

LeBlanc and Griffin teamed up on a number of unlikely covers.  These included Allen Toussaint's "Working in a Coal Mine," Hank Williams "I Saw the Light," The Surfaris "Wipeout," R.E.M's "(Don't Go Back) To Rockville," and none other than "Somewhere Over the Rainbow."

Let's hope this sort of creative event is repeated very, very soon.
