The following links to articles/interviews,

the state of Mississippi and talks about the band's plans for playing
the Elvis Presley Festival in Tupelo that night.
In this LiveDaily.com article, BTE talks about putting recording on hold
and touring for the summer.
Concert Reviews

July 1 BTE show at the Newport Marina. It rocked!
Here's a cool review of a Tulsa show at Curly's from the Missouri
Southern State College newspaper (October 2002).
BTE continues to bring their "yearning pop melodies on the road"
according to this review of the June 2002 "Bottle and Cork" Dewey Beach,
DE show.
This review of BTE's December 29, 2001 Chicago show finds the band still
quite "Good."

SOUND CLIP SELECTION
This edition of the SERENADE includes some
classic sound clips around a central theme. We're calling this set
"Diss 'N' Dat," because in each clip the guys comically
disrespect each other or some other celebrities:
"Axl
Got Chubby, Tom" - Kevin Griffin reflects on the transformation of
Axl Rose from skinny rocker to chubby canteuse (from Solana Beach CA,
August 2001).
"Name that Tri-Delt" - Here, KG reminisces about a sorority
girl he had a crush on in college who ended up going on to bigger and better
things. This story caused quite a media stir when it first
happened (from the 9:30 Club, Washington, D.C. 2001).
"Ask Billy Corgan" - Back in the day there was alleged feud
between Kevin Griffin and Billy Corgan. Well, this clip confirms there
might have at least been a little tension between them (from
Los Angeles, November 2000).
"Is that K-Lo or J-Lo?" - Listen and learn as Travis disses
Kevin and Kevin turns around and gives it right back (from
Albany, New York, March 2003).
"Are We in Agreeance?" Listen to KG diss the great sage Frederick Durst
and his unique vocabulary (from Irving Plaza, New York City March
2003).
"Dark Booty." Kevin and Tom tease each other with a little word play (from
Arkansas State University, Jonesboro AR, November, 2001).
"He Doesn't Look Like a Human Being." KG claims his guitar has a
sexy 9 1/2 Weeks vibe and then proceeds to comment on the
illustrious career of Mickey Rourke (from the Norva, Norfolk VA,
March 2003).
"The Legend of Body Shaper." KG dazzles the crowd with a tale of Tom's
legendary romantic exploits (from Los Angeles, November 2000).
"Travis Can't Stand the Thong Song." KG explains that Travis has
artistic reservations about Cisco's hit song (from Jazzfest 2000, May
2000).
Photos/Video (Cont'd)
This gentleman has some outstanding concert photos of BTE and other cool
bands on his website. These include the guys at the recent Elvis
Festival in Tupelo, Mississippi. And, if you get a chance, check
out the emails he has received (and compiled) from the world's lemur
enthusiasts.
Cowboy Mouth recently put up some cool BTE-CM pics on their website.
Here's a Real Video clip of BTE performing Madonna's "Don't Tell Me" for
Extra TV (from July 2001).
Even more cool BTE concert pics from the far reaches of the Web.
Other
BTE gets a small mention is this very interesting article about
world-class record producer Daniel Lanois and his time spent in New
Orleans.
Here's a cool article on Grant, BTE's latest, greatest and youngest TTOY
star from the recent Norfolk Town Point Park show.
And BTE Alum and friend Graham Colton gets a cool interview in the
Nashville Rage. |
