Grand Canyon:

It is believed that the Grand Canyon has been occupied by inhabitants reaching as far back as 3,000 to 4,000 years ago. Its most notable inhabitants were the Anasazi Indians. Explorers and missionaries discovered the Grand Canyon and found its land to be suitable for settlement. The first tourist facility was established in 1917 along its North rim, and the Colorado River flows through it, providing a means for transportation and a source of water. Popular attractions include helicopter tours of the Grand Canyon, as well as hiking trips that can last from 1 to 11 days.
