BETTER THAN EZRA IN THE NEWS

The following links to articles/interviews, concert reviews, photos/video, and the ubiquitous "other" category have been collected over the last few months or longer.

Articles/Interviews

Here's a great article/interview from the website NewsTimes180.com. A little information on the upcoming CD too.

An outstanding review of the Live CD by the South African website Alternative Hole. Dr. Jeep is the man!

An extremely thoughtful review of the Live CD by Shelly T. posted at Epinions.com.  She notes BTE is all about "Fantastic pop songs, rich melodies and outstanding vocals."  Five stars baby!

Rikk's Revues gives the Live CD and DVD 4.5 stars out of 6! the good reviews just keep rolling in...

Here's a Q&A with BTE on the Clinton Presidential Center website.  You learn a bit about the guys social philosophy...  Nice to know.

Voxonline.com deems the Live CD and DVD are "must haves."

Reviewer Mike Farley at bullz-eye.com is a BTE fan, can you tell? He gives the Live CD 4 out of 5 stars.

Good interview with Tom in the Northwest Herald. This was before the recent 2 nights the band did at the House of Blues, Chicago.

And an interview with KG on Fredericksburg.com before the recent DC show. He talks about working with Tim Palmer, among other things.

Concert Reviews

This Georgia State Signal writer disses Big Head Todd and the Monsters, but says BTE left him feeling "fulfilled musically."

This UNC Wilmington SeaHawk writer loved the recent Myrtle Beach show. She notes the close relationship between the band and their fans.

Another good review of the same Myrtle Beach (or as Tom called it "Fertile Beach") from the Carolina Coastal University Chanticleer.

BTE SOUND CLIP SELECTION

As usual, this edition of the Serenade contains a selection of BTE sound clips.  This edition brings you a good mix of clips.

First up is the "Seven Days of BTE."  Yeah, the guys are on 24/7 and here's the proof!  They are also apparently aware of the entertainment options fans discount to go to their live shows (e.g., "ER" and "Married by America").  Take a listen and you'll know what I mean.

Oh, and for good measure we've thrown in the fabled "Delma" clips. You heard the rumor.  Now here where it came from!

If you can think of a particularly funny sound clip or would like to suggest theme for sound clips, please contact the Editor at: ED@streetserenade.com.

"A Rowdy Sunday in the Field House" - Even without beer sales, the Field House was a rockin' to TTOY (from St. Cloud University, St. Cloud, MN, April 20, 2002).

"An Enjoyable Monday Night" - Tom was giddy, feeling a little "wicky-wacky" (from Irving Plaza, New York City, NY, April 1, 2002).

"The Tuesday Night Line in the Sand" -  KG goes falsetto crazy and creates a quagmire (from The Norva, Norfolk, VA, March 18, 2003).

"Wednesday Night Sans TIVO" - Kevin explains how the crowd decided to go out, without evening TIVO-ing that sh*t! (from Irving Plaza, New York City, NY, March 19, 2003).

"A F*cking Thursday Night" - Kevin explains about going down to the 'Hell That is the French Quarter' (from the House of Blues, New Orleans, LA, May 2, 2002).

"Friday On My Mind" - Two young people get a very special prom night courtesy of BTE (from Curly's, Tulsa, OK, March 1, 2002).

"Let It Out On a Saturday Night" - Kevin tells the light man to have a red bull and use those lights!  (from Irving Plaza, New York City, NY, March 6, 2004).

"Dalma Part 1" - What did he say? This DJ does an outstanding job eliciting information on this particular topic (from DC 101, Washington, DC, June 7, 2001).

"Dalma Part 2" - Kevin swears it's all dramatic license, yeah right! (from DC 101, Washington, DC, June 7, 2001).

Other Stuff

This Pepperdine Graphic writer says she's seen BTE 5 times. Oh, and she's seen a few other bands too.

This Pitch.com writer tells a funny little story about her prior dalliance with BTE and their music. Cute!

The "Kick It On Up and the Break It On Down" gets a mention in Fantasy Football land (Fanball.com). I think somebody's been watching the DVD, think so?
